Tanking of Basements

Basement waterproofing on a new build using Geotex cavity drain membrane. Tircconaill Damp Proofing, County Donegal, Ireland
Basement waterproofing (or Tanking) is necessary to prevent water from penetrating the basement of a house or a building. Over time existing waterproofing of older buildings may have degraded therefore requiring some remedial action. Tirconaill Tamp Proofing has effective solutions suitable for both new properties and for older building renovation.

Tanking Systems

Lateral penetrating damp in below ground situations can be resolved for both old properties and new buildings using Sovereign Hey 'di Tanking Systems. Both Hey 'di K11 and Hey 'di Special Systems have been proven effective against extreme water pressures throughout the world. Tirconaill Damp Proofing's experts apply Hey 'di K11 which is an alkali-resistant synthetically modified cement mixed with styrene-butadiene and water, producing a waterproof coating against both moisture and hydrostatic ground water. The chemicals in the cement react, penetrate and fill or block the capillaries, bonding onto the prepared surface to ensure a water tight envelope.
